Objective: 5th grade used different forms of Abstraction to create a dynamic action still, taken from a larger story. The students used a form of Representational Abstraction to create unique tools and obstacles. Emotional Abstraction was used to create a watercolor background that helped support the emotional perspective between the hero and their obstacle.
Product: 5th grade took a journey in discovering ways in which they could take a real-life person and transfer them into a simplified child-like character. The Obstacle opposing the newfound hero represents a challenge in our hero's life. A specialized tool, used in the hero's everyday life, is used to confront the Obstacle.
